I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
